If you are looking for a sensitive, perceptive soul who will bond with you deeply, Heidi is your girl. When she came to us, she was fearful of being handled, and quick to respond defensively. Through positive reinforcement training, she has been building trust in humans, and she is an extremely dedicated student. She even watches all the other horses in their training sessions! She likes scratches on her withers on sunny afternoons, and has been working on grooming and hoof care skills.

She needs a sensitive and patient human with a soft touch who is willing to keep building her trust in people. While she leads nicely, and is doing well with grooming, she is still being sedated for hoof trimming.

Heidi has so much to offer. Since progressing through her training she has become quite sociable. Once apprehensive to new people, she now approaches humans letting them offer her scratches and some love as they walk by. She is kind, sweet, and smart, and would love to have a human who will spend a lot of time doting on her, teaching her new games, and doing gentle exercises to keep her moving comfortably.
