Meet Winnie

Winnie is a young mare who has been blossoming beautifully with patient, consistent handling. When she first arrived, she was unsure of people and needed sedation for routine farrier work, but she’s come a long way. She now stands for the farrier without sedation and is steadily gaining confidence.

She halters and leads, though she’ll benefit from continued, gentle handling as she matures. Winnie can still be head‑shy and skittish at times, so she’s looking for an adopter who understands young, inexperienced horses and enjoys helping them grow. One of her sweetest qualities is that she can be groomed at liberty, choosing connection on her own terms. She is always first at the gate to greet you seeking out some human friends.

Winnie has a bright future ahead of her with someone who appreciates her sensitivity, celebrates her progress, and is excited to guide her through her next chapter.
