Back in the summer of 2022, a young horse named La Cactis Boy came to us. He was only five years old and somehow ended up at an auction, which is no place for a horse like him.
Cactis is an Appendix- a cross between a Quarter Horse and a Thoroughbred. He has a great personality… level-headed but energetic… perfect for someone looking for a great horse to ride. Once he gets to know you, he’ll be your friend for life. If you want to win him over, just give him some forehead rubs. That’s the key to his heart.
Cactis is still learning how to be ridden, so he’ll need someone to teach him the ropes again.
He also really enjoys being brushed and pampered. He’ll even show you where he likes to be brushed the most. And when he’s had enough, he’ll walk away to let you know.
Cactis is looking for a kind and patient person who can help him remember his training. He’s got so much to offer and will be a wonderful horse for someone. Why not come by and meet him? You might be the perfect match for each other.
