Our Horses
Bandit arrived at our sanctuary in 2023 as a young, completely feral gelding with very little positive human experience. In the beginning, even routine care was overwhelming for him. He needed sedation for farrier visits, but has recently been able to be trimmed without sedation.
With time, Bandit has begun to show us who he really is. He’s still a bit head shy and cautious, but he’s also becoming genuinely curious. These days, he’ll often be the first to wander over to the fence, stretching his nose out to say hello and check you out on his own terms.
Bandit is currently halter broke. He’ll benefit from continued desensitizing work and a calm, experienced human who understands the pace young, untrained horses need to feel safe.
